Germany Elopement Photographer

Dane and Corinna met a LONG time ago when they were kids! How cute is that?! They've known each other all growing up, and started dating in high school. It was that young first love, but they were always so sweet to each other, and it never turned into that clingy controlling relationship that I feel like everyone had back in high school. Lucky them, haha. They were both from a small town in Germany called Reutlingen, which is literally the cutest little village in the world. They dated all through high school, before deciding to go their separate ways when they entered college. It was sad but smart, and its always a good idea to have individual growth, especially if you've been together since middle school! (I dunno, I read that in a blog once and assumed it was true) Corinna headed to Australia to begin her gap year of traveling and Dane started school. When she got back, they reconnected and got back together, stronger than before. Dane always knew that Corinna was the one, and when they were in their last year f college, he began planning how he wanted to propose!

Dane planned to propose during a big Christian concert that was coming up. The band Hillsong was playing, and Dane contacted them and worked out a plan with them! At the concert, Hillsong asked for a few people to come up and help them sing a song. Dane, of course, volunteered and dragged Corinna up onto the stage with him. Corinna was so confused because she didn't think that Dane even liked singing (or was that great of a singer, haha). So the first few people sang the chorus of the upcoming song and everyone clapped, and then it was Dane's turn. When he got the mic though, instead of singing, he just dropped to one knee and asked if Corinna would be his wife. She was SHOCKED, but of course said yes! What a cool proposal!

They got married in the church that they both belong to, and had a private ceremony with their closest friends and family. It was important that only the most special people in their lives be the ones to hear their vows and witness their ceremony.

I adore it when couples choose to celebrate their special day the exact way that they want to and make the brave choice to say "no" to tradition, and "no" to the expectation-filled event, and "no" to "what would aunt Betty say if she wasn't invited?". It is YOUR ceremony and it is not FOR Aunt Betty or ABOUT Aunt Betty, it is for YOU and about YOU. This is the day that you are beginning the best adventure that life has to offer and I would hate for you to kick it off in a way that you regret!
