Mackenzie River Oregon Elopement Photographers
Amalie + Colin eloped on the shores of the Mackenzie River in Oregon! This place was super important to Amalie because she grew up here in Oregon, and spent many summers on Mackenzie River. Though She and Colin live in Texas now, she was determined to get married at the place that had captured her heart so long ago! So she dragged their closest friends with them from Austin to Oregon so they could help them celebrate!
So Amalie + Colin met in Austin, Texas at a concert that was being held at a local bar. Colin noticed Amalie, and after a while, he decided to introduce himself. He approached her and she gave him THE COLD SHOULDER. She was NOT having it. But he was persistent and charming and eventually (after a couple of drinks!) she gave in and gave him her number. AND GUESS WHAT???? HE. LOST. IT.
No, not like he was really excited, he actually lost the number. HOW COULD HE?! So all of that hard flirting work was in vain, right? No, Colin was determined to find her after all of that effort in winning her over. So he searched online, and eventually he found her on facebook! And was finally able to ask her out. Whew. Close call. So they were able t o have their first date where they really hit it off. And after that, they’ve been together ever since! They are so cute and perfectly awkward together that it is clear that they were meant to be, and there was some reason that Colin spent so much time trying to find the cute girl he met in a bar.
So Colin proposed to Amalie at a waterfall in Missouri. They had road tripped there together, and were on a hike. Collin had the ring in his jacket pocket, but it was a SUPER hot day in Missouri, and he was sweating profusely. Mostly because of the heat, some out of nervousness. And from the hike probably too. Amalie had no idea what was going on, but he saw him sweating so much, and asked why he didn't just take off his jacket! He, of course, couldn't do that, but he didn't exactly have a good excuse either, so he just said that he didn't want to! Once they made it to the waterfall, he was able to pop the question and finally take off his jacket! She said yes, of course. Duh. This is their wedding
