Backyard Elopement with Homemade Bridge
Enjoy Julie and David’s adorable backyard wedding in Port Orchard! So Julie and David met a few years ago. It was an instant connection, and they soon became very close. All of their friends say that they are a perfect match, and both of their families accepted the other’s right away. There was so much love and happiness during Julie and David’s special day, and the ceremony was led by one of their closest friends. He sang a song that he wrote himself as Julie walked down the “aisle”. The aisle was actually a bridge that David built himself the week before. Julie had expressed a want for there to be a bridge across the pond that was in their backyard, and David decided to surprise her by building one! What a sweet gesture! She adored it, and walked across it with her dad during the procession. The ceremony was short and sweet, and the rain held off for the entire duration of the event! Everyone held their breath to be able to hear the vows, and there was so many happy tears from members of the audience. Their grandchildren were the flower girls and ring bearers and they huddled close, instead of retreating to their seats like kids usually do. The flower girls were actually crying as well during the vows, which was TOTALLY cute. The woods of port orchard were decorated with tons of string lights, and a local band began playing as dusk fell. David wrote Julie a song that he sang to start off the reception, and it was such a beautiful moment! Julie cried, and his song was so sweet and talked about how much he loves her and knows that she’s the one. After that, the couple shared their first dance together, and kicked off the dance party. It was such a fun evening, full of laughter and drinking and dancing. The band was great and full of energy and it was such an awesome night!
