Me and these cute humans met up in the Domolites in southern Italy for their adventure session! They’re from south Tyrol, so they were craving some mountain views and lago di braiesis such a beautiful place to go for that! The lake was frozen because it was mid march, but it was so much fun to get to go onto the ice and get to explore the lake that way! I’d never gotten to do that before and it was the coolest thing!
Brigette and Patrick are the freaking cutest. They have huge hearts for adventure, and they were located in South Tyrol, Italy so they decided that they should take a trip north to explore the mountains! Brigette had been begging Patrick to take her to the mountains for the longest time. These guys have been together forever, and are literally best friends. They met in Brigette’s senior year of University. They both were in the same class and ended up meeting each other and it was love at first sight. They ended up going on a date after that, and the rest is history!
Lago Di Braies is arguably one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes. Usually BRIGHT ASS blue in the summer, it was so fun getting to see it covered in snow and ice. I’ve seen tons of mountains during my travels, but this one is certainly special! Lake Braies is part of the Fanes Sennes Braies Nature park and is located in a side valley next to the Val Pusteria. This lake is fricken huge and is 77 acres big! (I don’t know the measurement of many lakes, but a tour guide told me that and that seems big, no?) When you go in the summer (Like I have all of the times before!) this lake is stunning and you can rent boats to go out into it! I usually recommend doing this in the morning before tourists start showing up! There’s a hike that goes all the way around the lake so you can explore a bit and get to see some more stunning scenery. There is even a small chapel on one side of the lake that is over 100 years old!
