Olympic National Park Engagement Photos
For whatever reason, trying to find a location was THE hardest thing to do for us. Seattle was having such unpredictable weather in February, and it seemed like every single time we picked a date and a spot, it would SNOW. Or RAIN horribly. Or SOMETHING would happen. We must have changed the date like 3 times! Even the day BEFORE our shoot it SNOWED again! Even though the weather had been saying it was clear alllllll week! Lol what can you do? We changed location morning of and made it freaking WORK. I mean, check out the place we found! So pretty!
Kat and Michael also brought along their cute doggo, Budmo! He was the cutest little pup and had sooooo much energy, zooming all around while we were shooting! He wasn't sure what to think of snow, and he hopped and jumped around and didn't want to stay still when he was in it! Kat and Michael rescued him last year, and he is totally their baby now. He even has so many outfits that they have bought him that he loves to wear! For our shoot, he was matching Michael with a cute little plaid jacket!
We were in the snow, but it wasn't even cold which was perfect, and the mountains were peeking out and giving us the perfect view! We did a little hike, and hung out in the forest and along the river. I love doing a lot of exploring in the Olympic National Park and I have found so many amazing places over the years! This place is such a gem, and never has many other people around so it is usually so quiet and serene. Kat and Michael had never been to this place either so it was so fun to get to show it to them!
It was so much fun hanging out with Michael and Kat, and they are clearly so meant for each other. They met years ago in Ukraine while working in the peace corps! They were both Economic Community Development Volunteers and they hit it off while working together! Michael proposed to Kat a little while ago while they were in Disneyland for her thirtieth birthday trip! They were walking around the park and when they got to the castle, Michael asked some tourists to snap a pic of them. When they were posing, Michael dropped to one knee and popped the question! She said yes of course.
