Washington State Fair Engagement Session Photographer
How many of you guys love the fair?! (I'm pretending you all said "me!") I do! Its one of my favorite things about the end of summer! I'm all about the corn dogs and lemonade and cotton candy and fried (insert already unhealthy food option here). Actually my current fave is fried butter. Otherwise known as the "heart attack" or the "I hate my arteries". The Washington state fair holds so many memories for me because I have literally gone there for the last 20 years! My parents took me every year growing up, and then I showed my horses there for a week every September all through high school! So when Lindsey and Brandon wanted to do a fun couple's session at my favorite place, I obviously was so down.
After the scary ride, we had to grab some ice cream to cool off, and "the Unicone"(unicorn icecream) was the most popular cone around! Literally made for instagram, this cone came with ears AND a horn! Plus it was delicious. They had to scarf it down because the sun decided to come out in full vengeance and melt the poor unicone pretty quickly!
Lindsey and Brandon "met" back in college. There's quotation marks there because he was actually so black-out drunk that he didn't actually ever remember even meeting Lindsey the next day! So then they attended college together without ever seeing each other again! Brandon finally began following Lindsey on twitter because some of his friends followed her, and obviously because her tweets are fire. "She has a lot of opinions," Brandon says, "on.....everything." And he was clearly entertained by her many opinions! So they commented back and forth (or messaged...? I don't get twitter... #oldperson) and eventually became friends. And they were friends for like four years before there was any interest.
They finally got together when they matched on bumble for the 100th time and Lindsey finally messaged him! "You love me," she said. And they began to hang out. After they got their cotton candy and explored around a little bit, we jumped on some rides. Lindsey didn't tell us until after the second ride that she was actually terrified of heights! Me too, girl, me tooooooo. Lindsey won Brandon a stuffed sloth at the balloon popping game, and they named him "vertigo" after the scariest ride.
It was literally the most fun day ever, and it was such a blast to spend some time with some awesome people at my favorite place!
