Snoqualmie Pass Gold Creek Pond Bridal Photographer

I hung out with David and Ahreum at Snoqualmie pass this weekend! It was the best day we could have asked for after weeks and weeks of snowstorms, we were finally blessed with a normal cloudy day. If you know me at all, you know that overcast weather is my JAM, and so I couldn't have been happier. Warmer, yes. Happier, no.

We headed up the trail to Gold Creek Pond, and despite our lack of snowshoes, did pretty good breaking a trail to the lake. The mile long trail only took us 30 minutes to hike up, and we were pretty proud of how quickly we hiked, even though the trail hadn't been compacted very well yet! And Ahreum was even hiking in a dress, poor girl!

Ahreum and David met a few years ago when he was stationed in Korea. They met at a bar, but Ahreum really never went out, so it was a super chance encounter! David noticed her across the room, and really wanted to talk to her, but didn't know what to say. His friends encouraged him to go and make a connection, and so after a few drinks, he decided to make his move. First he hit up the bartender, and asked if he could steal some of the gummy bears that he had seen given out. The bartender was super chill and he told David that he would deliver the bears to her and tell her that they were from him. David readily agreed, and a moment later, she sent a packet of gummy bears back to him! He went over to her and struck up a conversation, and before the night was over, she had agreed to go on a date with him! Fast forward 7 months later, they were completely in love, and heartbroken that David had to leave and go back to the states. They stayed in touch, and have braved long distance ever since. A while ago, on his third trip to Korea, he proposed to her over dinner! She was completely surprised, and agreed to marry him right away!

They planned a wedding in hawaii last summer. It was a dream vacation, fully of boat cruises, hiking, beaches and the joy of having each other! They had the ceremony on the beach, and said their vows to each other over the sound of the crashing waves!

I loved hanging out with these guys on Snoqualmie, and I was so excited to finally get to meet them after months of chatting!
